The MARIA MONTESSORI TEACHERS' TRAINING course has been adopted from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) approved Montessori Teachers' Training Courses to meet the specific requirements of our Indian Children. The duration of the Course is 12 months. This Montessori diploma authorises the holder to apply the Montessori Method to the education of children from 2 to 6 years of age and adapt its concepts to children from 6 to 10 years of age. It also enables the teacher to start her own Montessori House of Children. T T C - authorises to teach till class V - VI

AIM :

The primary aim is to train adults so that they can assist properly towards the social, emotional and spiritual development of the children.

Application Forms can be obtained from the Office at St. Sebastians School, Lake Gardens Unit, against payment of Rs. 50/- only.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION :

The medium of instruction is English.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION :

The applicant must have passed Class XII with English as one of the main subjects and must have completed 18 years of age. As this is a professional course, there is no upper qualification limit nor any age limit. Preference would be given to graduates and those who are good in spoken English.

The prescribed Application Form must be submitted to the office as mentioned above along with the following:

• Xerox copy of the results in the last public examination,
• Xerox copy of birth certificate.

OFFICE HOURS:

9 A.M. to 2.30 P.M.
FORM & PROSPECTUS ARE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 9.30 A.M. and 12.30 P.M.

LECTURES :

There are two sessions:

Lectures are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
There are no holidays except Notified Public holidays and those declared by MMTTC.

ATTENDANCE :

A minimum 90% attendance is compulsory to enable a student to sit for examinations.

EXAMINATION :

Examinations are held from time to time throughout the course.
